Kona Boys Stand-Up Paddleboard

Kona Coast · Big Island

Kona Boys is hands-down the best way to experience Kealakekua Bay — and honestly, the kayak/snorkel combo tour is way better than just SUP rental here. They're one of the only companies allowed to actually land at Captain Cook Monument, which makes all the difference. Your guide will paddle you across the crystal-clear bay while sharing the real history of Captain Cook and Hawaiian culture, then you'll snorkel in some of the clearest water on the Big Island (we're talking 80-foot visibility on good days). The fish diversity is incredible — expect to see 50+ species, rays, eels, and if you're lucky, spinner dolphins or manta rays. They provide everything including lunch, so just show up ready to paddle. Book the early morning departure to beat the crowds and get glassy water conditions.

💡 Insider Tip

Ask for Grant, Evan, or Michael as your guide — they're the stars here according to regulars. The Morning Magic tour is their signature experience and worth every penny over a basic rental.
