This crescent-shaped bay is hands-down one of Maui's most perfect swimming beaches. The water stays impossibly turquoise and calm thanks to the outer reef protection, while green sea turtles cruise through regularly like they're on a schedule. The snorkeling here is stellar — the reef starts right off shore with angelfish, parrotfish, and other colorful swimmers darting around the rocks.
Unlike the resort-dominated beaches down south, Napili Bay feels like old Maui with its low-rise condos and genuine community vibe. The sand is ridiculously soft, making it ideal for families. Head to the left side near the rocks for your best turtle spotting, and watch your footing getting in and out of the water around the reef areas. Access is easy through Napili Point condos — just don't park in reserved spaces.
💡 Insider Tip
Hit up Napili Bay around 10:30am for easy parking before the crowds arrive. The Sea House restaurant right on the beach does solid happy hour if you want to stick around for those legendary sunsets.
