This is the beach that locals go to when they want something nicer than Kam but less of a scene than Wailea. Keawakapu sits right at the border of Kihei and Wailea on South Kihei Road, offering the same gorgeous water and impossibly soft sand without the resort crowds. The beach slopes gently into the water with virtually no rocks, making it perfect for swimming and families.
The real magic happens at the rocky north end where you can snorkel with sea turtles and colorful fish, plus hunt for shells in the tide pools when the water recedes. Sunset here is legendary — the beach faces due west with a clear view to Lanai, and when the sun drops, the whole sky goes pink and gold.
💡 Insider Tip
Park early or you'll be circling forever — try the south lot off Kilohana Drive for easier access to the quieter end. Hit the rocky north side for the best snorkeling, and bring quarters for the outdoor showers since there are no real restrooms.

Free
Small free lots at both ends (south lot off Kilohana Dr is less crowded)
