Wood-fired, whole-grain organic flatbread pizza right on Hana Highway in Paia, and it's honestly one of the best pizza spots in all of Hawaii. The famous Mopsy's Kalua Pork flatbread with house-smoked pork, Maui Gold pineapple, red onion, and goat cheese from Surfing Goat Dairy is absolutely singular — you won't find anything like it anywhere else. The vegetarian options like Coevolution and Pele pesto are equally incredible.
The restaurant sits in a funky Paia building with local art covering the walls and that perfect laid-back surfer-artist vibe that matches the town perfectly. They use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Don't sleep on the fresh mixed greens salad either — it's way better than it has any right to be.
