This is the beach that spoils you for all other Maui beaches. Kapalua Bay in West Maui is a naturally sheltered cove with impossibly turquoise water that stays calm year-round — perfect for families and nervous swimmers. The snorkeling here is legitimately world-class. Head to the rocky north end where you'll spot green sea turtles, eels, and tropical fish galore. Just know the bottom is rocky, not sandy, so bring water shoes if you're tender-footed. The beach itself is intimate rather than massive, which keeps the vibe more special even when it's busy. There are clean restrooms, showers, and the Aqualani beach shop for gear rentals right on site.
