A winery. On Maui. Yes, really. MauiWine sits on historic Ulupalakua Ranch along Piilani Highway at 1,800 feet elevation, where they've been making wines from estate-grown grapes and pineapples since the '70s. The tasting room occupies a gorgeous stone building surrounded by century-old camphor trees — it's breathtakingly peaceful up here.
The pineapple wine (Maui Blanc) is the star — sweet, crisp, and utterly unique. You'll also find raspberry dessert wine and solid grape varietals, but honestly, lean into the tropical stuff. The charcuterie boards are excellent, especially the Dip of the Day when they're featuring "Love a Curd." This upcountry gem feels worlds away from the beach crowds.
💡 Insider Tip
Tastings are free and the vibe is super chill — no pretentious wine speak here. Grab a bottle of the raspberry wine; it's truly one-of-a-kind and you can't find it anywhere else.
